What you need to know

Cancellation policy

1 week or more notice — 20% of total price (deposit retained)
1 week to 24 hours notice — 50% of total price
Less than 24 hours — 100% of total price
Date changes require cancellation and re-booking

On the day

Arrive and leave at times stated on your booking form
Rooms must be left clean — equipment provided
Supply your own cutlery, plates, cups and bin bags
All rubbish to go in outside recycling bins before leaving

Rules & restrictions

No alcohol unless approved by the Board of Trustees
No confetti, glitter, candles or BBQs on the premises
Non-smoking building — designated area at the rear
Bouncy castles on grass only — own generator & insurance required

Security deposit & damage

A £200 refundable security deposit is required for all bookings
Deposit is refunded within 7 days following the hire date, provided no damage has occurred
If damage to the premises or equipment exceeds £200, the hirer may be required to pay additional costs to cover the full extent of the damage

How much does it cost to hire the Main Hall?

The Main Hall is £30 per hour with a minimum 3-hour hire period. A £200 security deposit is required, refunded within 7 days if there is no damage. If damage exceeds £200, additional costs may be charged. A £10 opening fee applies. Concessionary rates are available for local residents and registered charities.
What is included in the hire?

What are the cancellation terms?

Can I have alcohol at my event?

Alcohol is not permitted unless specifically approved by the Board of Trustees and the Centre Manager. Please raise this at the time of booking if it applies to your event.
Is there parking at the centre?

There is a 24-space car park on site with additional disabled parking at the main entrance. Jahsar Association CIC cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss or incidents relating to vehicles.
Can I arrange a viewing before booking?

Absolutely — we encourage hirers to visit before confirming. Call 07732 454 863 or email greavesquare@jahsar.co.uk to arrange a time Monday to Wednesday, 10am–3:30pm.
Can I use a bouncy castle?

Yes — on the grass area only. Hirers must supply their own generator and provide appropriate insurance. Speak to the booking officer before confirming.
Is the building accessible?

Yes. The building is fully accessible with everything on one level. Accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities are available. If you have specific requirements please let us know when booking.
